HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 0441 CITY OF PALM DESERT PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 44 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF THE REDEVELOP- MENT PLAN WITH RECOMMENDED CHANGES THERETO. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Palm Desert Planning Commission that the proposed Redevelopment Plan attached hereto as attachment 'A' is hereby recommended to the Redevelopment Agency and City Council, that such plan be approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Palm Desert Planning Commission recommends that the proposed Redevelopment Plan be modified in the following respects: 1. The words shown as Architectural Review Board should be revised to Design Review Board. This also applies to the Definition Section of the Plan. 2. Paragraph 2, on Page 21 should be revised to conform to the processing procedure now in existence for the Design Review Board. To accomplish this it should be rewritten as follows: The Board Shall consider matters before them within thirty (30) days after the date of filing of the required application with the Planning Division of the Department of Environmental Services. If the Board fails to render a decision within thirty (30) days from its first consideration, then the application shall be automatically forwarded to the Planning Commission for consideration and action. If the Planning Commission fails to render a decision within thirty (30) days from its first consideration, then the application shall be automatically forwarded to the City Council for consideration and action. 3. Paragraph 3, on Page 21 should be rewritten as follows: No proposed private development plan approvals shall be filed until reviewed by the Planning Commission; and the Agency, only by appeal, will have final authority to approve a private development plan. No development plan for public projects should be considered approved until reviewed by the Planning Commission and the Agency. The Agency shall have final authority to approve such development plan. Within the parameters of Section 5.4 of this plan, the Agency may from time to time, provide the Design Review Board and the Planning Commission with a list of general development standards that exceed the requirements of the City's Zoning Ordinance. Said standards will be provided on the basis of guaranteeing the carrying out the purposes of this plan. -2- PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this l4th day of April 1975, by the following vote to wit: AYES: BERKEY, MULLINS, SEIDLER, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: IDLTAM SEIDtEg, - RMAN ATTEST: PAUL WILLIAMS, SECRETARY
