HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 048Nolo PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL, APPROVAL OF A REVISED TENTATIVE MAP TO ALLOW A 100-UNIT PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT BY THE MARRAKESH BUILDING AND COUNTRY CLUB ON 27 ACRES OF LAND, GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF PORTOLA, SOUTH OF GRAPEVINE STREET, AND NORTH OF HAYSTACK ROAD. CASE NO. TRACT 6229. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, did receive a verified application from MARRAKESH BUILDING AND COUNTRY CLUB, requesting approval of a tentative map for a 100-unit planned residential development on 27 acres of land, located in the R-1-10,000 zone and situated west of Portola, south of Grapevine, and north of Haystack, more particularly described as: a portion of the SW% of the NE4 and the NW% of the SE4 of Section 29, T5S, R6E, S.B.B. & M. WHEREAS, said application had complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Environmental Quality Procedure Resolution Number 74-14", in that the project was initiated prior to the effective date of the California Environmental Quality Act and is therefore considered to be exempt as an on- going project, and: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did take into consideration the Tentative Map as submitted, and the reports of the various reviewing agencies, and; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find that the subject Tentative Map does substantially comply with the City of Palm Desert Code (County Ordinance Number 460), and the State of California Subdivision Map Act, as amended; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find that the subject Tentative Map does comply with the adopted General Plan, and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby recommend approval to the City Council of the City of Palm Desert of the above described Tentative Map No. 6229, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions (copy attached): PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission held on the 14th day of April, 1975, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, MULLINS, SEIDLER, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: ATTEST: ) PAUL WILLIAMS, SECRETARY
