To: Honorable Chairman & Members of the East Area Planning Council
Subject: The Palm Desert Planning Commission review of Conditional Use
Permit No. 1776-E
Gentlemen:
At the adjourned meeting of October 6, 1975, the Planning Commission of the
City of Palm Desert, did review the proposed Conditional Use Permit for
No. 1776-E, Kadow Enterprises and Ted Weiner, applicants. The attached
Resolution No. 87 reflects the findings of the Planning Commission on this
matter.
Their review of this project indicates that access to the proposed development
is contingent upon approval by the City of the extension of Portola Avenue,
across the Whitewater Channel which is within the city limits of Palm Desert.
The Planning Commission believes that such a decision is not automatic and does
require some discussion between the City and the applicants. Therefore, the
Commission is requesting that no action be taken on the project until this
matter is resolved between the City and the applicants.
Very truly yours,
Paul A. Williams, Secretary
Palm Desert Planning Commission
