HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 090PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 90 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CITY'S ANNUAL REPORT TO THE COUNCIL ON INTER -GOVERNMENTAL RE- LATIONS RELATIVE TO THE CITY'S PLANNING ACTIVITIES; AND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE DOCUMENT TO THE CITY COUNCIL. WHEREAS, Section 34217 of the State Government Code requires the City of Palm Desert to file an annual report to the Council on inter -governmental relations regarding planning activities in the City for the previous fiscal year; and WHEREAS, such a report has been prepared by the City Staff and presented to the Planning Commission on October 6, 1975. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California does hereby approve the report as attached and labeled Exhibit A; and directs the Secretary to forward the report to the City Council for approval prior to forwarding the report to the Council on inter- governmental relations. WILLIAMS, SECRETARY Attachment PLANNING C014_SSION RESOLUTION #90 (EXHIBIT' A ) OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH LOCAL GOVERNMENT PLANNING SURVEY INT RODUCT ION : This survey has been developed by the State Office of Planning and Research to simplify and standardize local government compliance with Section 34217 of the State Government Code. That section requires that every city, county, or regional planning agency file with the Council on Intergovernmental. Relations, a complete report of its transactions during the previous Fiscal Year, with recommendations for needed planning legislation. In addition, all jurisdictions are required to file annually, a report indicating the degree to which its approved general plan complies with the guidelines for such plans adopted by the Council on Intergovernmental Relations on September 20, 1973. Be assured that this data will be compiled and utilized to improve the planning process within the State of California wherever possible. A. Description of Jurisdiction: 1.
