HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 140glepe *owe PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 140 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND REPORTING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT THE PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF PORTIONS OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD AND DE ANZA WAY AND THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF ALESSANDRO AND DE ANZA WAY CONFORMS TO THE ADOPTED PALM DESERT GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, did receive a verified letter of request from HENRY & LINDA TAGLE requesting municipal abandonment of approximately 2000 square feet of public right of way located at the northwest corner of the inter- section of the North Frontage Road and De Anza Way, and the south- west corner of Alessandro and De Anza Way, located within the C-1, S.P. Zone, and more particularly described as: LOTS 13 & 14 of PALM VILLAGE PLAZA TRACT and shown in Attachment A; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did review the request in context with provisions of the General Plan and found that the said abandonment of public right of way would not adversely affect the circulation pattern or land use for the Core Area as proposed by the General Plan and is therefore in conformance with the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert to report to the City Council that the afore- mentioned proposed municipal abandonment of a portion of right of way is in conformance with the Palm Desert General Plan. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission held on the 13th day of April, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: r .``Yt1 PAUL A.`WILLIAMS, SECRETARY
