HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 148PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 148 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW BOARD ACTION OF APRIL 20, 1976. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert did review the Design Review Board Action of April 20, 1976, approving: Case No. 28C - Henry Tagle For a New Restaurant WHEREAS, on May 4, 1976_ the Planning Commission did consider the above request for a Conditional Use Permit; and_ WHEREAS, at that time, upon receiving and considering the testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard, said Commission did find sufficient facts and reasons to exist to approve the Conditional Use Permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert as follows: 1) That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case. 2) That it does hereby approve the Design Review Board Action of April 20, 1976. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, held the 4th day of May, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: PAUL A. WILLIAMS, Secretary MINUTES PALM DESERT DESIGN REVIEW BOARD April 20, 1976 1. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Palm Desert City Hall. Members present: Frank Urrutia Paul A. Williams Staff present: Steve Fleshman Members absent: Bill Hobbs Bernard Leung Mike Buccino Jim Hill Sam Freed George Minturn There were no minutes submitted for approval at this time. 2. Case No. 28C - HENRY TAGLE - Review of preliminary site plan, floor plan, and elevations for a new restaurant to be located north of High- way 111, south of Alessandro, and west of San Carlos (De Anza Way). (C-1, S.P. Zoning District) It was moved by Mr. Buccino and seconded by Mr. Williams that the plans be approved subject to 16 conditions, with future landscaping plans to show a shift northward of the parking area to allow more landscaping ad- jacent to the rear wall of the building and a row of half width tree wells with trees located along the western boundary of the parking area. The parking spaces should be spaced to preserve the existing alley alignment. Motion carried 4-0 (Hill, Buccino, Urrutia, Williams). 3. Case No. 2MF - CORSICAN VILLAS - Plans for a new fence were not sub- mitted to staff in time for the meeting. No action was taken. 4.
