HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 179PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 179 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT THE PROJECTS PROPOSED TO BE CONSTRUCTED BY THE COACHELLA VALLEY COUNTY WATER DISTRICT ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ADOPTED PALM DESERT GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, Section 65401 of the Government Code of the State of California requires that the proposed public works shall be submitted to the City Planning Agency for review and report to said official agency as to conformity with the adopted General Plan or part thereof; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a notice that the Coachella Valley County Water District proposes construction of the following: 1. Install 1,400 feet 12 inch pipeline in Desert Lily Drive between Reservoir 5644 and Grapevine; 2. Install 400 feet 8 inch pipeline in Ironwood between Shadow Mountain Drive and Verba Santa Drive; 3. Install 500 feet 8 inch pipeline between Ocotillo Drive and Verba Santa Drive; 4. Install 900 feet 12 inch pipeline in El Paseo and Highway 111 to Panorama Drive and 350 feet 8 inch pipeline in Panorama Drive; 5. Install 700 feet 12 inch pipeline in Deep Canyon from Abronia Trail to Highway 111 and in Highway 111 to Shadow Hills Road and 300 feet 8 inch pipeline in Shadow Hills Road south from Highway 111; 6. Install 1,000 feet 6 inch pipeline in Parosella Street between Abronia Trail and Panorama Drive. WHEREAS, said projects have been reviewed and have been found to be in conformance to the adopted Palm Desert General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby find that the attached projects proposed to be constructed by the Coachella Valley County Water District are in compliance with the Adopted Palm Desert General Plan; Planning Commission Resolution No. 179 3. That the Coachella Valley County Water District will be responsible for any damage to the recently completed road improvements on the above described streets. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission held on the 14th day of September, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, MILLS, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: PAUL A.
