HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 192PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 192 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND APPROVING A SIGN PROGRAM FOR WELLS FARGO BANK. CASE NO. 17SA WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did review the Design Review Board action of October 26, 1976, approving: Case No. 17SA - A Sign Program for WELLS FARGO BANK, located at the southeast corner of Portola Avenue and Highway 111. WHEREAS, at this time, upon receiving and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard, said Commission did find sufficient facts and reasons to exist to approve Case No. 17SA for WELLS FARGO BANK; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission does find that Case No. 17SA is in con- formance with the Redevelopment Plan for the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby approve the Design Review Board approval of Case No. 17SA, for WELLS FARGO BANK. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a special meeting of the Planning Com- mission of the City of Palm Desert, Calfiornia, held on the 4th day of November, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: BERKEY, KELLY, MILLS, VAN DE MARK, WILSON NONE NONE NONE Y WILS I, CHAIRMA ATTEST: PAUL A. WILLIAMS, SECRETARY COMMERCIAL OCTOBER 26, 1976 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL CASE NO. 17SA 1. The development of this project shall conform substantially to all development plans submitted in behalf of this case (Exhibit A), and as revised according to Planning Commission action. Any minor changes require approval by the Director of Environmental Services. Any sub- stantial change requires approval by the Planning Commission. 2. All requirements of any law, ordinance, or regulation of the State, City, and any other applicable government entity shall be complied with as part of the development process. 3. This approval is applicable, subject to the development of this project, commencing within one year from approval date and being promptly com- pleted. 4. Landscaping (with irrigation system) shall be provided and submitted to the Planning Department for approval prior to issuance of any sign permit. 5. The block construction of the sign posts shall match the building in texture and color. 6. No additional signage shall be permitted. 7. The sidewalk and driveway approach at the southwest corner of the property line and alleyway shall be modified to the specifications of the City En- gineer. 8. The overall height of the sign shall not exceed seven feet, zero inches (7'-0") on Highway 111 and five feet, zero inches (5'-0") on Portola Avenue.
