HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 209PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 209 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT ANNOUNCING ITS FINDINGS REGARDING A PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AMENDMENT WHICH WAS REFERRED BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY. CASE NO. RA-01-77. WHEREAS, the City Redevelopment Agency was referred a proposed Redevelopment Plan to the Planning Commission for a report on the affects of this request on the City's General Plan, and; WHEREAS, said matter was reviewed at the Planning Commission meeting of January 18, 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California as follows: 1. A portion of the requested amendment does not conform to the City's General Plan. 2. A consideration of a General Plan Amendment should occur before the Redevelopment Plan Amendment is considered. 3. A General Plan Amendment No. 01-27 is hereby initiated to consider a change of land use designation from Very low Density Residential to Service Industrial on a three -acre parcel located westerly of the intersection of Painter's Path and 44th Avenue. 4. A public hearing to consider GPA 01-77 is hereby scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting of February 15, 1977. 5. The remainder of the Amendment is considered to be in conformance with the City's General Plan. 6. The secretary is hereby directed to forward this report to the City Council pursuant to Sec. 33455 of the State Health and Safety Code. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 18th day of January, 1977, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, MILLS, READING, WILSON NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE Y WIL, Chairman ATTEST: PAUL A.
