HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 233PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 233 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, MODIFYING ITS FINDINGS REGARD- ING MATERIALS FOR THE SAN DIEGO FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN BUILDING KNOWN AS CASE NO. 49C, AS SPECIFIED IN PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 232. WHEREAS, the applicant has requested that the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, reconsider its requirements regarding signs and building materials as specified in Conditions No. 8 and No. 17, Case No. 49C, in Planning Commission Resolution No. 232; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did consider the applicant's request at the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting of April 19, 1977; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find the following reasons do exist to approve the requested change of roof material: 1. The allowance of the roof material would not set a precedent; 2. The roof material is compatible with the community; 3. The decision regarding the signs was correct. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. The above represents the true and correct findings in this matter; 2. That the Commission does hereby approve a request to modify Condition No. 17 as follows to allow the roof material as proposed by the applicant and the related navajo stucco color: 17. The stucco color of the building shall be navajo in color and the roof material shall be blue tile as proposed by the applicant. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 19th day of April, 1977, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, MILLS, READING NOES: WILSON ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ILSON, IRMAN ATTEST: PATJL A.
