HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 267PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 267 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL, DENIAL OF A TENTATIVE MAP TO ALLOW FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A 20-LOT SINGLE-FAMILY SUBDIVISION ON 5.2 ACRES OF LAND, GENERALLY LOCATED NORTHERLY OF AND ADJACENT TO HAYSTACK ROAD, APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET WESTERLY OF THE INTERSECTION OF HAYSTACK ROAD AND PORTOLA AVENUE. CASE NO. TT 10428 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, did receive a verified application from GEORGE GRAZIADIO, requesting approval of a Tentative Tract for 20 single family residences on 5.2 acres of land, located in the R-1, 10,000 zone and situated northerly of and adjacent to Haystack Road, approximately 600 feet westerly of the intersection of Haystack Road and Portola Avenue, more particularly described as: APN 630-250-017 WHEREAS, said application had complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Environmental Quality Procedure Resolution Number 77-7", in that a Negative Declaration was made by the Director of Environmental Services on June 27, 1977, and the appeal period has expired, and; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did take into consideration the Tentative Map as submitted, and the reports of the various reviewing agencies and; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find that the subject Tentative Map as submitted, and the reports of the various reviewing agencies and; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find that the subject Tentative Map does not substantially comply with the City of Palm Desert Code (County Ordinance Number 460), and the State of California Subdivision Map Act, as amended; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find that the subject Tentative Map does not comply with the adopted General Plan, and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert as follows: 1) that th.e above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case; 2) that it does hereby recommend denial to the City Council of the City of Palm Desert of the above de- scribed Tentative Map No. 10428. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission held on the 2nd day of August , 1977 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, SNYDER, KRYDER NOES: NONE ABSENT: KELLY, READING ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: PAUL A.
