A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT
PROPOSALS BY THE COACHELLA VALLEY COUNTY WATER
DISTRICT TO CONSTRUCT A 1.5 MILLION GALLON STEEL
STORAGE RESERVOIR AND AN 18-INCH DOMESTIC WATER
TRANSMISSION MAIN 470 FEET LONG ARE IN COMPLIANCE
WITH THE ADOPTED PALM DESERT GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, Sections 65401 and 65402(a) of the government Code of
the State of California require that proposed public works shall be
submitted to the City Planning Agency for review and report to said of-
ficial agency as to conformity with the adopted General Plan or part
thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a notice that the
Coachella Valley County Water District proposes construction of the
following public works:
1. Construction of a 1.5 million gallon steel storage
reservoir to be located 250 feet south of the inter-
section of Della Robbia Lane and Dead Indian Canyon
Stormwater Channel.
2. Construction of an 18 inch domestic water transmission
main 470 feet long from the reservoir site to the inter-
section of Della Robbia Lane and Dead Indian Canyon
Stormwater Channel.
WHEREAS, said projects have been reviewed and have been found
to be in conformance to the adopted Palm Desert General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of
the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and consti-
tute the findings of the Commission in this case.
2. That it does hereby find that the projects proposed to be
constructed by the Coachella Valley County Water District are in com-
pliance with the adopted Palm Desert General Plan.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm
Desert Planning Commission, held on this 30th day of May, 1978, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: KELLY, KRYDER, SNYDER
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: BERKEY
ABSTAIN: NONE
