HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 372PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 372 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND APPROVING THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD ACTIONS OF JUNE 6, 1978. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did review the Design Review Board actions of June 6, 1978, approving: Case No. 121MF - Request for approval of preliminary site, floor and elevations for a duplex for R. CORTESE; Case No. 122MF - Request for approval of preliminary site, floor and elevations for a duplex for R. CORTESE; Case No. 226SA - Request for approval of a sign program for a commercial structure for PORTOLA- PASEO INC; Case No. 129MF - Request for approval of preliminary site, floor and elevations for a triplex for JOHN MANDIC; Case No. 130MF - Request for approval of preliminary and final working drawings for 3 single- family residences for ROBERT MANDIC; Case No. 82C - Request for approval of preliminary and final working drawings for 4 class- rooms for HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH; WHEREAS, at this time, upon considering and receiving all testi- mony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Commission did find sufficient facts and reasons to exist to approve the Design Review Board actions of June 6, 1978. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and consti- tute the findings of the Commission in these cases. 2. That it does hereby approve the Design Review Board actions of June 6, 1978. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 14th day of June, 1978, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, FLESHMAN, KELLY, KRYDER, SNYDER NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE GEORG BERKEY, Chai ATTEST: 'C? \ALI PAUL A. WILLIAMS, Secretary nan /ks SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CASE NO. 121 MF 1. A detailed and upgraded final landscaping plan shall be submitted at time of submittal of final construction drawings. 2. Rear yard shall be fully enclosed with a wall or fencing to be approved by the Design Review Board. 3. Revise landscaping plan as noted on Exhibit 'A'. 4. Provide a minimum 20' driveway. AGREEMENT I accept and agree, prior to use of this permit or approval, to comply with all the conditions set forth , and understand the Department of Building and Safety will not issue a build- ing permit or allow occupancy on the use permitted until this signed confirmation has been received by the Department of Environmental Services. (Date) (Applicant's Signature) SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CASE NO. 122 MF 1. Elevations shall be substantially modified in order to reflect variation from the duplex to be constructed on Lot 9 adjacent to the subject duplex. 2. Landscaping plan shall be upgraded and perimeter fencing of the rear yard shall be specified. 3. Revise landscaping plan as noted on Exhbiit 'A'. 4. Provide a minimum 20' driveway. AGREEMENT I accept and agree, prior to use of this permit or approval, to comply with all the conditions set forth , and understand the Department of Building and Safety will not issue a build- ing permit or allow occupancy on the use permitted until this signed confirmation has been received by the Department of Environmental Services. (Date) (Applicant's Signature) SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CASE NO. 129 MF 1. Final construction drawings including a final landscaping, grading and irrigation plan shall be submitted to the Design Review Board. No final inspection or occupancy permit shall be given by the Department of Environmental Services to this project until the aforementioned approved plans and construction shall have been completed. 2. Construction plans shall be submitted for approval to the City Fire Marshall prior to issuance of building permits. All conditions shall be made a part of construction and no certificate of occupancy shall be issued until completed. 3. Driveway shall be redesigned in order to provide a minimum of 24' for back up space when leaving the carports and additional area shall be provided for landscaping purposes along the west side of the driveway. 4. Provide a 15' setback on Roayl Palm Drive to allow for a 24' back driveway and a 2' planter strip on southside of property. 5. Revise landscaping plan as noted on Exhibit 'A'. 6. Provide trash enclosure 7. West window elevation should be treated like north for continuity. 8. Complete site plan and establish finish grade elevations. AGREEMENT I accept and agree, prior to use of this permit or approval, to comply with all the conditions set forth , and understand the Department of Building and Safety will not issue a build- ing permit or allow occupancy on the use permitted until this signed confirmation has been received by the Department of Environmental Services. (Date) (Applicant's Signature) SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CASE NO. 130 MF 1. Applicant shall preserve as many of the existing date palms on all three lots as possible in order to preserve the grove character of the sites. 2. Applicant shall revise the front window treatment for the home on Lot 6 and revise the treatment of the garage door on the home on Lot 5. AGREEMENT I accept and agree, prior to use of this permit or approval, to comply with all the conditions set forth , and understand the Department of Building and Safety will not issue a build- ing permit or allow occupancy on the use permitted until this signed confirmation has been received by the Department of Environmental Services. (Date) (Applicant's Signature) SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CASE NO. 82C 1. Applicant shall provide a trash enclosure area per requirements of the City for the entire facility in conjunction with the development of this phase of the project. 2. Construction plans shall be submitted for approval to the City Fire Marshall prior to issuance of building permits. All conditions shall be made a part of construction and no certificate of occupancy shall be issued until completed. 3. Applicant shall comply with all the conditions of approval required for related Case No. CUP 04-78. AGREEMENT I accept and agree, prior to use of this permit or approval, to comply with all the conditions set forth , and understand the Department of Building and Safety will not issue a build- ing permit or allow occupancy on the use permitted until this signed confirmation has been received by the Department of Environmental Services.
