HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 455PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 455 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING A CHANGE OF ZONE FOR PRE -ZONING APPROXIMATELY 45 ACRES PRIOR TO ANNEXATION. CASE NO. C/Z 01-79 WHEREAS, the City of Palm Desert has received a petition re- questing annexation from a majority of the land owners of property generally located on the northwest corner of 44th Avenue and Cook Street and east of the Palm Desert City Limits as indicated on the attached Exhibit 'A'; and, WHEREAS, as a result of the above action, the City has desig- nated the subject property indicated on the attached Exhibit 'A' as City Annexation No. 11; and, WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City of Palm Desert to consider at this time the appropriate land use and zoning designations on the property comprising Annexation No. 11 in order to promote orderly development in the best interest of the community upon its annexation NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, as follows: 1. A Change of Zone is hereby initiated for pre -zoning of approximately 42 acres comprising City Annexation No. 11 from 'S' Study to PR-6, S.P. U.A. (Planned Residential max. 6 d.u./ac., Scenic Preservation Overlay, Upon Annexation) Exhibit 'A', or any other zone deemed appropriate. 2. That the Commission does hereby direct the Secretary to establish the appropriate procedures to be adhered to in the pre -zoning process. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 30th day of January, 1979, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KELLY, KRYDER, SNYDER NOES: NONE ABSENT: FLESHMAN ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: PAUL A.
