CASE NO. C/Z 05-79 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on May 3, 1979, hold a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider a request by WAYNE O. AND MARIE HUTCHESON for approval of Change of Zone from R-1 (Single-family Residential) to C-1 (General Commercial) for property containing approximately 10,000 sq. ft., located at the northeast corner of Lantana Avenue and Larrea Street, more particularly described as: APN 625-132-004-9 WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering the testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, the Planning Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to deny the Change of Zone: 1. The proposed Change of Zone is not deemed, at this time, to be necessary or desirable to implement the adopted Palm Desert General Plan. 2. The zoning as it presently exists is found to allow a currently viable land use. 3. The Change of Zone, as it is presently constituted, would not assure compatibility with surrounding and adjacent residential uses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case; 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby deny Change of Zone Case No. C/Z 05-79, for the reasons stated above.
