HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 507PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 507 tair A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A REQUEST TO OPERATE A CLUBHOUSE, RESTAURANT, LOUNGE, AND SNACK - BAR ON AN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BASIS WITHIN THE PR-5 (PLANNED RESIDENTIAL, MAX. 5 du/ac) ZONE. CASE NO. DP 01-79 (AMENDED) WHEREAS, The planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 3rd day of July, 1979, hold a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider a request by DAME'-DOTY DEVELOPMENT CO., for approval to operate a clubhouse, restaurant, lounge, and snackbar on an open to the public basis within the PR-5 (Planned Residential, max. 5 du/ac) zone located within an approved golf course/condominium development on the West side of Portola Avenue and northerly of the Whitewater STorm Channel, more particularly described as: APN 621-350-016 621-350-023 621-350-017 621-350-020 621-350-033 621-350-018 621-350-032 WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Environmental Quality Procedure Resolution No. 78-32", in that the Director of Environmental Services has determined that the project has previously been assessed in connection with Case No. DP 01-79 and no further documentation is deemed necessary. WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts to justify their actions, as described below: a. The proposed amenment generally conforms to the intent and purpose of the PR Zone District. b. The proposed amendment is adequately suited for the specific site and is compatible with existing and proposed development in the area. c. The proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case. 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby approve conceptual Development Plan No. DP 01-79 (Amended). PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 3rd day of July, 1979, by the following vote, to wit: ATTEST: AYES: Berkey, Kryder, Miller, Snyder NOES: None ABSENT: Fleshman ABSTAIN: None PAUL A.
