A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT PROPOSED PROJECT(S)
BY THE COACHELLA VALLEY COUNTY WATER DISTRICT TO REPLACE
CERTAIN WATER LINES, ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ADOPTED
PALM DESERT GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, Sections 65401 and 65402 (a) of the Government Code of
the State of California, require that proposed public works shall be sub-
mitted to the City Planning Agency for review and report to said official
agency as to conformity with the adopted General Plan or part thereof, and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received a notice that the
Coachella Valley County Water District proposes construction of the following
public works:
Construction of approxiamtely 1,150 lineal feet of 8 inch diameter
main in Panorama Drive between Fairway Drive and Candlewood Street,
and the construction of approximately 800 lineal feet of 6 inch
diameter water main east of Panorama Drive in Peppergrass Street,
Parosella Street and Chicory Street. The purpose of the project
is to replace existing deteriorated steel water mains. The project
is located in a portion of the Southwest quarter of Section 21,
Township 5 South, Range 6 East, San Bernardino Meridian.
Construction of approximately 2,050 lineal feet of 8 inch diameter
water main in Grapevine Street between Highway 74 and Desert Lily
Drive. The purpose of the project is to replace the existing
deteriorated steel pipeline. The project is located in a portion
of the Northeast quarter of Section 30 and the Northwest quarter of
Section 29 in Township 5 South, Range 6 East, San Bernardino
Meridian.
Construction of approximately 1,400 lineal feet of 12 inch diameter
domestic water distribution pipeline in Shadow Mountain Drive
between Tumbleweed Land and Ironwood Street in a portion of the
Southwest quarter of Section 20, Township 5 South, Range 6 East,
San Bernardino Meridian. The purpose of this project is to replace
an existing deteriorated water main.
WHEREAS, said projects have been reviewed and have been found to
be in conformance with the adopted Palm Desert General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Palm Desert, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and
constitute the findings of the Commission in this case.
2. That it does hereby find that the project(s) proposed to
be constructed by the Coachella Valley County Water District
are in compliance with the adopted Palm Desert General Plan.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm
Desert Planning Commission, held on this 17th day of October, 1979, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Berkey, Kryder, Snyder
NOES: None
ABSENT: Fleshman, Miller
ABSTAIN: None
