HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 609PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 609 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND APPROVING A TWELVE MONTH TIME EXTENSION OF A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED TENTA- TIVE PARCEL MAP TO DIVIDE APPROXIMATELY 3.538 ACRES INTO FIVE (5) PARCELS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HIGHWAY 111 AND HIGHWAY 74. CASE NO. PM 14710 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did hold a duly noticed Public Hearing on the 18th day of June, 1980, to consider a request by COLUMBIA SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION for approval of a twelve (12) month time extension of a previously approved Tentative Parcel Map to divide approx- imately 3.538 acres into five (5) parcels within the P.C. (3), S.P. (Planned Commercial, Regional Shopping Center, Scenic Preservation Overlay) zone located on the southwest corner of Highway 111 and Highway 74, more particularly described as: APN 629-720-018 WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering the Testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify a time extension for the Parcel Map: 1. The subject Tentative Parcel Map does substantially comply with Chapter 26 of the City of Palm Desert Municipal Code, and the State of California Subdivision Map Act, as amended. 2. The subject Tentative Parcel Map does comply with the adopted General Plan and the Palm Desert Zoning Ordinance. 3. The site is physically suitable for the type of development proposed. 4. The design of the division and the proposed improvements are not likely to cause substantial environmental damage or serious health problems. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby approve a one year extension of time for the above described Tentative Parcel Map No. 14710 subject to fulfill- ment of the conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 491, dated May 29, 1979. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 18th day of June, 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: Berkey, Kryder, McLachlan, Richards None Miller None ATTEST: _ \ PAUL A.
