HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 657PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 657 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECINDING RESOLUTION NO. 640 AND INITIATING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A COMPREHENSIVE AMENDMENT TO THE CITY GENERAL PLAN. GPA 01-80 WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 25.94, prescribes the procedures for consideration of amendments to the City General Plan and provides that the Planning Commission shall conduct a Public Hearing for purposes of forwarding their action to the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recognizes that conditions, factors, and requirements have changed since the original adoption of City General Plan, which necessitates a comprehensive amendment and updating of the plan and its elements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the consideration of the Commission in this matter. 2. That the Commission does hereby recind Resolution No. 640, which sets a Public Hearing for September 17, 1980. 3. That the Secretary to the Planning Commission is hereby requested to establish a revised date for Public Hearing on December 11, 1980, for purposes of consideration of a comprehensive amendment to the City General Plan. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 5th day of November, 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KRYDER, RICHARDS, MILLER NOES: NONE ABSENT: MCLACHLAN ABSTAIN: NONE CHARLES MILLER, Chairman ATTEST: STAN SAWA, Acting Secretary /1r
