HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 658PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 658 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO AN EXISTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND DESIGN REVIEW CASE TO ALLOW A MOBILE HOME LOT TO BE USED AS A PARKING LOT LOCATED IN PORTOLA COUNTRY CLUB ON THE EAST SIDE OF SUTTER MILL ROAD, 100 FEET NORTH OF QUICKSILVER DRIVE. CASE NO. CUP 10-77 AND 139 C WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 2nd day of December, 1980, hold a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider a request by PORTOLA COUNTRY CLUB HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, for an Amendment to an approved Conditional Use Permit to allow an existing mobile home lot adjacent to the clubhouse of Portola Country Club to be used as a parking lot within the RM (Mobile Home) zone, located on the east side of Sutter Mill Road, 100 ft. north of Quicksilver Drive, more particularly described as: Lot #236, Tract 4399 WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedures to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the Director of Environmental Services has determined that the project is categorically exempted under the guidelines for implementation of CEQA per Section 15111, and no further documentation is deemed necessary; WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify the granting of said Conditional Use Permit: 1. The proposed location of the Conditional Use is in accord with the objectives of the Zoning Ordinance and the purpose of the district in which the site is located. 2. The proposed location of the Conditional Use and the conditions under which it will be operated and maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or general welfare, or be materially injurious to properties or improvements in the vicinity. 3. The proposed Conditional Use complies with the goals, objectives, and policies of the City's adopted General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings fo the Commission in this case. 2. That approval of Conditional Use Permit CUP 10-77 (Amendment) and 139 C is hereby granted for reasons subject to the attached conditions. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 2nd day of December, 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KRYDER, MCLACHLAN, RICHARDS, MILLER NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ,, /G ,1// CHARDS MILLI R, Chairman ATTEST: RAMON A. DIAZ, Secretary /lr PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 658 Page Two CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL CASE NOS. CUP 10-77 (AMENDMENT) AND 139 C 1. The development of the property shall conform substantially with Exhibit "A" (CUP 10-77 (Amendment) and 139 C) on file with the Department of Environmental Services, as modified by the following conditions. 2. The car parking space at the northeast corner of the property shall be provided with a 24 foot back up area per Municipal Code requirements.
