HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 685PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 685 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A ONE YEAR TIME EXTENSION OF AN APPROVED DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND DESIGN REVIEW CASE, TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF 1083 CONDOMINIUM UNITS ON 404 ACRES, LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF COOK STREET AND COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE. CASE NOS. DP 09-79 (AMENDED) and 168 MF. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did hold a duly noticed Public Hearing on the 18th day of February and continued Public Hearing on the 3rd day of March, 1981, to consider a request by PACIFIC COAST BUILDERS, for approval of a one year Time Extension of an approved Develop- ment Plan and Design Review case to allow construction of 1083 condominium units and a golf course on approximately 404 acres located at the northeast corner of Cook Street and Country Club Drive, more particularly described as: APN 619-021-001 619-021-002 619-021-003 WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedures to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the Director of Environmental Services has determined that the project has previously been assessed in connection with Case No. DP 09-79 and TT 15000 and no further documentation is deemed necessary; WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering all testi- mony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts to justify their actions, as described below: a. The proposed project generally conforms to the intent and purpose of the PR Zone District. b. The proposed project is adequately suited for the specific site and is compatible with existing and proposed development in the area. c. The proposed project will not be detrimental to the health, safety and general welfare of the community. d. The considerations relating to the original approval are still valid. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case. 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby approve a one year time extension of conceptual Development Plan No. DP 09-79 (AMENDED) and 188 MF (Exhibit A) subject to those conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution Nos. 568, 550, and 525. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 685 Page Two Planning Commission, held on this 3rd day of March, 1981, by the following vote to wit: AYES: BERKEY, MILLER, KRYDER, MCLACHLAN, RICHARDS NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE CHARLES MI ATTEST: 'RAM ON A.
