HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 721PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 721 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A PREANNEXATION CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-1 12,000 (RIVERSIDE COUNTY) TO PR-5, UPON ANNEXATION FOR PROPERTY NORTH OF COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE, WEST OF COOK STREET. CASE NO. C/Z 05-81 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 17th day of June, 1981, hold a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider an initiation by the Palm Desert Planning Commission of a Preannexation Change of Zone from R-1 (12,000) (Riverside County), to PR-5 (Planned Residential, 5 d.u./ acre maximum density) upon annexation, for three parcels generally located north of Country Club Drive, west of Cook Street, more particularly described as: APN 620-200-031, 620-200-032 and 620-190-010. WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the Director of Environmental Services has deter- mined that the project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environ- ment and a Negative Declaration has been prepared. WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts to justify their actions, as described below: 1. The land use resulting from the Change of Zone would be compatible with adjacent proposed land uses. 2. The density resulting from the Change of Zone would be compatible with densities permitted in the adjacent areas. 3. The proposed Change of Zone would be compatible with the adopted and proposed revised Palm Desert General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in these cases; 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council approval of a Change of Zone from R-1 12,000 (Riverside County) to PR-5 (U.A.) as shown on the attached map labeled Exhibit "A". 3. That a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact is hereby recommended for certification. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 17th day of June, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KRYDER, RICHARDS, MCLACHLAN NOES: NONE ABSENT: MILLER ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: 144 e// _ .
