HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 733PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 733 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A TIME EXTENSION OF ONE YEAR FOR A DEVELOPMENT PLAN. CASE NO. DP 15-79 AND 200 MF WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert did hold a duly noticed public hearing on May 5, 1981, to consider a time extension request filed by the MAYER GROUP for Development Plan 15-79 and 200 MF; WHEREAS, said hearing was subsequently continued to June 30, and July 15, 1981, to permit ultimate resolution by the City Council of a requested time extension for companion Tentative Tract Map 16015; WHEREAS, said requested time extension was continued by the City Council in order to resolve the City's new concern for developments beyond a five minute response time from fire facilities; WHEREAS, said concern has been emphasized in the City's newly adopted General Plans as well as developments reviewed subsequent to adoption of said plan; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission is also concerned with impacts potential developments will have on fire facilities; and, WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the City Council the applicant stated his willingness to accept a fire station site on land dedicated for public purposes as part of Development Plan 15-79 and Tentative Tract Map 16015. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert does hereby grant the requested one year time extension subject to the following condition: That the applicant shall cooperate with the City in locating a firestationsite within the proposed nine acre public area on the northeast corner of Country Club Drive and Monterey Avenue. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 4th day of August, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: BERKEY, KRYDER, RICHARDS, WOOD NOES: NONE ABSENT: MILLER ABSTAIN: NONE CHAR S M/ILLER, Chairman ATTEST: kRA 0�1 N A.
