A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT ANNOUNCING
FINDINGS RELATIVE TO A CLARIFICATION OF
THE PALM DESERT ZONING ORDINANCE CONCERN-
ING THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN A SINGLE
FAMILY DWELLING AND FACTORY BUILT MANU-
FACTURED OR MOBILE HOMES.
CASE NO. ZOC 02-81
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California,
did examine the appropriate provisions of the Palm Desert Zoning Ordinance
relating to the distinction between a single family dwelling and manufactured,
factory built or mobile homes and has made the following findings:
1. Single family dwellings permitted within the R-1 and
R-2 zones, shall be limited to buildings constructed
according to the Uniform Building, Plumbing and
Electrical Codes as adopted by the City of Palm Desert.
2. Other housing types (ie. factory built, manufactured
or mobile homes) constructed under Title 25 of the
State Health and Safety Code, shall be confined to the
R-1-M zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City
of Palm Desert, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and
constitute the findings of the Planning Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert
Planning Commission, held on this 1st day of September, 1981, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Kryder, Richards, Wood,and Miller
NOES: None
ABSENT: Berkey
ABSTAIN: None
