PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 807 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A PREANNEXATION CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-1 12,000 (RIVERSIDE COUNTY) TO PR-5 AND A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PORTOLA AVENUE AND COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE. CASE NO. C/Z 0642 (UA) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 6th day of July, 1982, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider an initiation by the CITY OF PALM DESERT for a preannexation change of zone from R-1 12,000 (Riverside County) to PR-5 (Planned Residential, 5 d.u./acre maximum) and a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact for property located at the northeast corner of Portola Avenue and Country Club Drive, more particularly described as: SW Y4, Section 4, T5S R6E WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the Director of Environmental Services has determined that the project will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Negative Declaration has been prepared. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts to justify their actions, as described below: 1. Prezoning is necessary to complete annexation of the properties. 2. Existing Riverside County zoning (R-1 12,000) is not deemed appropriate for the land. 3. The Change of Zone is in compliance with the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in these cases; 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City Council approval of a Change of Zone from R-1 12,000 (Riverside County) to PR-5 (Planned Residential, 5 d.u./acre maximum) (UA), as shown on attached Exhibit "A". 3. That a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact is hereby recommended for approval. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 6th day of July, 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: RICHARDS, WOOD, KRYDER NOES: NONE ABSENT: CRITES, MILLER ABSTAIN: NONE GEORC.
