HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 918PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 918 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT FROM PARK TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL 5-7 D.U./ACRE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF MONTEREY AVENUE AND COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE, ALSO DESCRIBED AS APN 620- 180-003. CASE NO. GPA 04-83 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 20th day of December, 1983, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider a request by the MAYER GROUP for the above mentioned project. WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89", in that the director of environmental services has determined that the project will not have a significant impact on the environment and a Negative Declaration was prepared as part of PP 18-83. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts to justify their actions, as described below: 1. The proposed amendment meets the intents and purposes of the medium density residential classification 5-7 d.u./acre. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in these cases; 2. That the Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the city council approval of a general plan amendment from park to medium density residential. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 20th day of December, 1983, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: CRITES, DOWNS, RICHARDS, WOOD NOES: NONE ABSENT: ERWOOD ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST: AMON)1h A.
