WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on
the 2nd day of October, 1984, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request of

zone from medium density residential, R-2 (7) S.P. to office professional; the vacation of
65' of public street right-of-way, a negative declaration of environmental impact to allow
construction of a 21,000 square foot professional office building on the southeast corner
of Monterey Drive and Fred Waring Avenue.
WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of
Palm Desert Procedures to Implement the California Environmental Quality Act,
Resolution No. 80-89", in that the director of environmental services has determined that
the project will not have a significant impact on the environment and a negative
declaration has been prepared.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and
arguments of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said commission did find the

purpose. It will be consistent with the Circulation Element of the General
