HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1161PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO 1161 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ADDING SECTION 25.30.220 TO THE PALM DESERT MUNICIPAL CODE. CASE NO. ZOA 86-5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 1st day of July, 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider zoning ordinance amendment 86-5; and WHEREAS, said amendment would reduce the height limit in planned commercial zones unless additional height is approved during the precise plan process; and WHEREAS, after reviewing the staff report and accepting all public testimony from those wishing to speak, the commission made the following findings: 1. There was a necessary need for the provisions setforth in the proposed amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case; 2. That the planning commission does hereby recommend to the city council approval of a Zoning Ordinance Amendment 86-5, as provided in the attached exhibit, labeled Exhibit "A." PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 1st day of July, 1986, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, ERWOOD, RICHARDS, WOOD, AND CRITES NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ATTE RAMON A.
