HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1226PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0. 1226 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE A REQUEST FOR A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-3 (RESIDE4NTIAL MULTI -FAMILY) TO C-1 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LARREA AND SAN LUIS REY. CASE N0; C/Z 87-3 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 21st day of May, 1987 hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request of RALPH AND VONNA WESTFALL for a change of zone from R-3 (resi- dential multi -family) to C-1 (general commercial) for property located at the northeast corner of San Luis Rey and Larrea, more particularly described as: APN 627-271-006 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify the denial of said change of zone: 1. The proposed change of zone to general commercial (C-1) would not be consistent with the approved general plan for the property in question. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That application C/Z 87-3 is hereby denied without prejudice in order that the applicant may file an amended application. PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0. 1226 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 19th day of May, 1987, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, LADLOW, WHITLOCK, AND RICHARDS NOES: NONE ABSENT: ERWOOD ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST RAMON A.
