HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1297PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1297 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT RELATING TO FENCE AND WALL LOCATION, HEIGHT AND MATERIALS. CASE NO. ZOA 88-3 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 5th day of July, 1988, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider amendment of zoning ordianace section 25.56 relating to wall location, height, and materials. WHEREAS, said amendment has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89," in that the director of community development has determined the amendment to be a class 5 categorical exemption. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to recommend approval of a zoning ordinance text amendment: 1. The proposed amendment is consistent with the intent of the zoning ordinance and protects the community health, safety and general welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That it does hereby recommend approval of ZOA 88-3 as provided in the attached exhibit labeled Exhibit "A". PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 5th of July, 1988, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, WHITLOCK, LADLOW NOES: ERWOOD, RICHARDS ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE /RICHARD ERWOOD, Chairman ;RAMON A.
