HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1300PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1300 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE HILLSIDE ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY IN THE WEST HILLSIDE AREA. CASE NO. VAR 88-1 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 5th day of July and the 19th day of July, 1988 hold duly noticed public hearings to consider the request of SUSAN CUSE c/o CHARLES HAVER & ASSOCIATES for the above noted variance request for property, more particularly described as APN 628-130-007. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify denial of said variance: 1. That none of the four required findings prescribed in the zoning ordinance section 25.78.070 A, B, C or D which must be made prior to granting a variance could be affirmed (see staff report dated July 5, 1988). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That the planning commission does hereby deny variance 88-1 for reasons specified above and in the staff report dated July 5, 1988. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 19th day of July, 1988 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, LADLOW, WHITLOCK, ERWOOD NOES: RICHARDS ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE /,• // ATTEST: .� L RAMON A.
