A complete preliminary soils investigation, conducted by a registered soils er,ginee:. shall be submitted to and approved by the department of public works prior to issuance of the grading permit. 14. Pad elevations, as shown on the tentative map are subject to review ant modification in accordance with Section 27 of the Palm Desert, Muni(!ipai Code. 15. Applicant shall provide for the construction of Chia Road through to Hatystaci: Road :tt such time as requested by the director of public works. Applicant shall submit surety bonds in a form acceptable to the city attorney guaranteeing the construction of the improvements. City Fire Department: 1. The fire department is required to set a minimum fire flow for the remodel or construction of all commercial buildings per Uniform Fire Code Section 10.301C. A fire flow of 1500 GPM for a 2 h:)ur duration at 20 PSI residual operating pressure must be available before any combustible material is placed en the job site. 3. The required fire flow shall be available from a super hydrant (6" x 4' x 1, 2"), located not less than 25' nor more than 200' frc.m any portion of the building as measured along approved vehicular travel says. Hydrants installed b-dow 3000 elevation shall be of the "wet barrel' type. 4. Prior to the application for a building permit, the developer shall furnis., the original and tuo copies of the water system plan to the county fire departrneatt for reviekt. \o building permit shall be issued until the water system plan has been approved by th : county fire chief. Upon approval, the original will be returned. One c opy uill be sent to the responsible inspecting authority. 5 Plans shall conform to fire hydrant t, pes, location and spacing, and the system shall meet the fire flow requirements.
