HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1425PLANNING OCMAISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1425 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW AN ASSOCIATED GOLF CLUB MANAGEMENT OFFICE USE IN A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL UNIT ADJACENT TO THE SHADOW MOUNTAIN GOLF CLUB LOCATED AT 73-720 IRONWOOD. CASE N0. CUP 90-5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 6th day of February, 1990, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request of SHADOW MCUNTAIN GOLF CLUB for approval of a conditional use permit to allow an associated golf club management office use in a single family residential unit adjacent to the Shadow Mountain Golf Club located at 73-720 Ironwood, also described as: APN 627-335-010 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify denial of said conditional use permit: 1. The location of the proposed office use within a single family residential complex outside the golf club boundary is not consistent with the definition of "incidental limited camiercial use" described in Section 25.20.030 I. of the Zoning Ordinance. 2. The proposed use could potentially be detrimental to value and use of adjacent residential properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That Conditional Use Permit 90-5 is hereby denied. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Cannission, held on this 20th day of February, 1990, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, ERWOOD, JONATHAN, RICHARDS, AND WHITLOCK NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ‘Ia 7-ei h ef) CAROL WHITLOCK, Chairperson
