HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1443PLANNINU O1MISSI0N RESOLUTION NO. 1443 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND DENYING A TENTATIVE PARCEL, MAP SUBDIVIDING INTO TWO LOTS THE EXISTING R-1 14,000 ZONED 26,168 SQUARE FOOT LOT LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAN PASCUAL AND DE ANZA. CASE NO. PM 25900 WHEREAS, the Planning Catmission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 1st day of May, 1990, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request of Perry Ashby for the above noted parcel map on property, more particularly described as: A.P.N. 627-171-001 WHEREAS, said application has complied with the requirements of the "City of Palm Desert Procedure for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act, Resolution No. 80-89," in that the director of canmunity development has determined that the project is a Class 15 categorical exemption for the purposes of CEQA; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify denial of the parcel map: 1. The proposed map (i.e. lot area) is not consistent with the established minimum prescribed by the zoning ordinance and the findings necessary to approve a variance cannot be affirmed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitation is true and correct and constitutes the finding of the commission in this case; 2. That it does hereby deny the above described Tentative Parcel Map No. 25900. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 15th day of May, 1990, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: DOWNS, ERWOOD, JONATHAN, RICHARDS, AND WHITLOCK NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE RAMON A.
