A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA,
DENYING AN RV PERMIT REQUEST TO ALLOW
PARKING OF A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE IN THE
FRONT YARD AREA ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AT 72-
818 SKYWARD WAY.
CASE NO. RV 91-1
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert,
California, did on the 16th day of April, 1991, hold a duly noticed
public hearing to consider an appeal by WILLIAM HODGE to a decision by
the zoning administrator denying a request to park a recreational
vehicle in the front yard area on private property at 72-818 Skyward
Way; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all
testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to
be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and
reasons to exist to justify denial:
1. The proposed use is not physically suitable for the site and
does not meet the intent of the city's requirement for
screening recreational vehicles.
2. The unscreened recreational vehicle in the front yard at this
location will be materially injurious to properties and
improvements in the vicinity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the
City of Palm Desert, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute
the findings of the commission in this case.
2. That RV 91-1 is hereby denied.
