HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1510PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1510 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DENYING AN RV PERMIT REQUEST TO ALLOW PARKING OF A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE IN THE FRONT YARD AREA ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AT 72- 818 SKYWARD WAY. CASE NO. RV 91-1 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 16th day of April, 1991, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider an appeal by WILLIAM HODGE to a decision by the zoning administrator denying a request to park a recreational vehicle in the front yard area on private property at 72-818 Skyward Way; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify denial: 1. The proposed use is not physically suitable for the site and does not meet the intent of the city's requirement for screening recreational vehicles. 2. The unscreened recreational vehicle in the front yard at this location will be materially injurious to properties and improvements in the vicinity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That RV 91-1 is hereby denied. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 16th day of April, 1991, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: DOWNS, ERWOOD, JONATHAN, RICHARDS, WHITLOCK NONE NONE NONE CAROL WHITLOCK, Chairperson ATTEST: RAMON A.
