HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 1527PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1527 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING RV 91-2 ALLOWING A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE TO BE PARKED IN THE FRONT YARD AREA AT 72-868 SKYWARD WAY. CASE NO. RV 91-2 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Paim Desert, California, did on the 2nd day of July, 1991, hold a duly noticed public hearing to conside.r the request of JAMES ARMSTRONG to allow a recreational vehicle to be parked in the front yard area at 72-868 Skyward Way; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said planning commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify the granting of said recreational vehicle permit: 1. The subject recreational vehicle has been screened with a combination of walls and landscaping to the extent necessary to mitigate adverse aesthetic impacts. 2. The location of the recreational vehicle and the conditions under which it has been screened and maintained will not be detrimental to the health, welfare or be materially injurious to properties in the vicinity. 3. That the screening of the recreational vehicle complies with the objectives of the city's General Plan in regards to general levels of appearance in single family neighborhoods. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the commission in this case. 2. That approval of Recreational Vehicle Permit 91-2 is hereby granted. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Paim Desert Planning Commission, held on this 16th day of July, 1991, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: DOWNS, JONATHAN, RICHARDS, WHITLOCK NONE ERWOOD NONE CAROL WHITLOCK, Chairperson ATT a„Ld?9N• RAM N A.
