HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 2006PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2006 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM PC-2 (DISTRICT COMMERCIAL) TO SI (SERVICE INDUSTRIAL) FOR PARCELS 7, 8, 12 AND 13 OF PM 29068 AS AMENDED LOCATED AT 77-880 COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE. CASE NO. C/Z 00-06 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, did on the 1st day of August, 2000, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the above noted case; and WHEREAS, the master plan of development was reviewed for compliance with CEQA and a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact was certified; and WHEREAS, the proposed project is compatible with the rest of the area and the rest of this center; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify recommending approval of said change of zone to the City Council: 1. That the subject property is designated Service Industrial in the General Plan. 2. A change of zone to Office Professional will be consistent with the General Plan. 3. The applicant has provided an acceptable showroom/commercial project which is consistent with the O.P. zone standards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case. 2. That Case No. C/Z 00-06, shown on Exhibit A attached, is hereby recommended to City Council for approval.
