HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 2069PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2069 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING PURSUANT TO SECTION 25.34.020.L OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE THAT GENERAL AND MEDICAL OFFICES ARE PERMITTED USES WITHIN THE SERVICE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO THE EXTENT THAT PROJECTS MEET THE GENERAL OR MEDICAL OFFICE PARKING REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, the Service Industrial zone was created to provide suitable locations for businesses servicing the needs of the Palm Desert community compatible with residential, resort and residential character; and WHEREAS, numerous projects within the Service Industrial zone have been developed with parking supplies in excess of the industrial requirements; and WHEREAS, general and medical office uses provide necessary services to the community and are similar and no more objectionable than those listed as permitted uses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Commission in this case. 2. That general and medical office uses shall be permitted in the S.I. zone to the extent a project meets the parking requirements for those uses as identified in Section 25.58.310.
