HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes No 2412PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2412 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A REQUEST FOR A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM PR-7 TO PR-8 AND PRECISE PLAN OF DESIGN INCLUDING CERTAIN SETBACK "EXCEPTIONS" TO ADD FIVE (5) UNITS TO THE EXISTING 44-UNIT "PARK VILLAGE" DEVELOPMENT AT 74- 360 MAGNESIA FALLS DRIVE. CASE NOS. C/Z 06-03 AND PP 06-04 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, Califomia, did on the 18th day of July, 2006, hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request of BOB SIPOVAC, JR.; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all interested persons desiring to be heard, said Planning Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist to justify denial of said change of zone and precise plan: 1. As designed, the project is too dense with too many units placed on too little property. 2. The two-story units would not be in keeping with the existing one-story nature of the neighborhood. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Palm Desert, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct and constitute the findings of the Planning Commission in this case. 2. That Case Nos. C/Z 06-03 and PP 06-04 are hereby denied for the reasons specified above. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Palm Desert Planning Commission, held on this 1st day of August, 2006, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: CAMPBELL, FINERTY, TANNER, TSCHOPP, LOPEZ NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE JA K.
