Chair Zannie Murphy convened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.

V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. MINUTES of the December 1, 2014, Palm Desert Youth Committee
meeting
Upon motion by Member Chen, second by Member Schmidman, and a 14-0-1
vote of the Youth Committee (AYES: Bloch, Chaplin, Chen, M. Dan, P. Dan, Goldstone,
Hutchinson, Kim, Murphy, Olson, D. Sandoval-Heglund, S. Sandoval-Heglund,
Schmidman, and Seiberg; NOES: None; ABSTENTIONS: Kozlak; ABSENT: None), the
December 1, 2014, Minutes were approved as presented.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
A. CHANGE Youth Committee meeting time to 4:00 p.m. on the first Monday
of each month.
Upon motion by Member Hutchinson, second by Member Goldstone, and a 15-0
vote of the Youth Committee (AYES: Bloch, Chaplin, Chen, M. Dan, P. Dan, Goldstone,
Hutchinson, Kim, Kozlak, Murphy, Olson, D. Sandoval-Heglund, S. Sandoval-Heglund,
Schmidman, and Seiberg; NOES: None; ABSTENTIONS: None; ABSENT: None),
denied the meeting time change to 4:00 p.m.
B. APPOINTMENT of Member to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and provide
an update on Youth Committee activities at the January 22, 2015 and
February 26, 2015, City Council Meetings.
Upon consensus by the Committee, Member Chen was appointed to lead the
Pledge of Allegiance and provide an update on Youth Committee activities at the
February 26, 2015 City Council Meeting.
