CALL TO ORDER - 1:00 P.M. II . PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Commissioner Berkey III . ROLL CALL - Commissioner Berkey Commissioner Kryder Commissioner Miller Chairman Snyder A. Dr. Robert R. McLachlan took the Oath of Office and he was seated on the Planning Commission. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. Minutes of regular meeting of April 1, 1980. Action: Approved unanimously as submitted. V. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS A. Correspondence from Choral Pepper. B. Correspondence from Ms. Pat Martin of Ballew-McFarland. VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS - NONE VII . OLD BUSINESS - NONE VIII . NEW BUSINESS A. Consideration for initiation of a Public Hearing ta amend the Sign Ordinance, relative to the provision of directional signs for courtyard or plaza busi- nesses. Action: Initiated Public Hearing by adoption cf Planning Commission Resolution No. 589. IX. DESIGN REVIEW BOARD ITEMS Consideration of cases acted on by the Design Review Board at their meeting of April 8, 1980. Staff Recommendation: Review the actions of the Board to determine acceptability; confirm acceptable actions by adoption of Planning Commission Resolution No. Action: Confirmed acceptable actions by adoption of Planning Commission Res�lu- tion No. 590, as amended. A. Chairman Snyder announced his resignation from the Planning Commission. X. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Continued Discussion - General Plan Update, relative to the Conservation/ Open Space/Recreation Element. --,. Planning Commissioners The Commission adopted Planning Commission Resolution No. 591, commending Walter Snyder for his services as Planning Commissioner and Chairman. XIII . ADJOURNMENT - 3:16 P.M.
