A. Minutes of regular meeting of November 5, 1980.
Action: Approved as submitted.
V. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
A. Letter from Las Sombras Village regarding Painters Path and Highway 111.
VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Continued Case No. ZOA 05-80 - CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant
Initiation of an amendment to Municipal Code, Chapter 25.30,
regarding conditionally permitted uses in the R-3 (Multifamily
Residential District) zone.
Staff Recommendation: Recommend approval to City Council of an amendment
to Municipal Code, Title 25, Chapter 20, and addition to Title 25, Chapter
56, relative to conditionally permitted uses in the R-3 (Multifamily
Residential District) zone.
Action: Continued to the meeting of December 2, 1980.
B. Continued Case No. C/Z 10-80 - CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant.
Initiation of a Change of Zone from R-2, S.P. (Single Family
Residential , one unit per 4000 sq.ft. of lot area, Scenic
Preservation Overlay) zone to R-3, S.P. (Multifamily Residential ,
one unit per 2500 sq.ft. of lot area, Scenic Preservation
Overlay) zone or other zone deemed appropriate on the west side
of Monterey Avenue between Rancho Grande and Park View Drive.
Staff Recommendation: Recommend approval to the City Council of a
Change of Zone from R-2, S.P. to R-3 (4) , S.P.
Action: Continued to the meeting of December 2, 1980.
VII. OLD BUSINESS
A. Review and approval of preliminary plans for 9 acre public park
at the northeast corner of Country Club Drive and Monterey Avenue.
Staff Recommendation: Determine what facilities should be provided on the
park site.
Action: Continued to the meeting of December 17, 1980.

VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. 62 C - ROGER FULLER, Applicant - Review of parking lot lights for
commercial complex located at the southeast corner of Ocotillo
Drive and El Paseo.
Staff Recommendation: By Minute Motion instruct applicant to use
originally approved light fixtures.
Action: Minute Motion made to allow alternate fixtures with light
operation limited until 9:00 p.m.
IX. DESIGN REVIEW BOARD ITEMS - NONE
X. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Consideration of redesignation of Conte Property (Country Club Drive
near Portola Avenue) from "Low Density" to "General ".
Action: Redesignated site as "low Density/General ".
B. Painter's Path and Highway 111 Intersection.
Action: Further study was requested.
XI. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
A. Tim Johnson - Further discussion regarding Traffic situation at the
intersection of Hwy. 111 and Painter's Path.
B. Charles Martin - Discussion regarding legal noticing procedures.
C. Mr. Bouman, City Manager - Further discussion regarding intersection
at Highway 111 and Painter's Path.
