APPROVAL OF MINUTES: April 6, 1982 Action: Unanimously approved as submitted. V. SUMMARY OF COUNCIL ACTION VI. CONSENT CALENDAR All matters listed on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one roll call vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless members of the Planning Commission or audience request specific items be removed from the Consent Calendar for separate discussion and action. A. TT 15000 - PACIFIC COAST BUILDERS - Request for approval of a one year time extension. Rec: Approve as presented. B. DP 04-81 and TT 15634 - SAN CLEMENTE GROUP - Request for approval of a one year time extension. Rec: Approve as presented. C. TT 13881-4 - DAI�iIE CONSTRUCTION - Request for approval of a one year time extension. Rec: Approve as presented. D. DP 02-81, DP 03-81, TT 15633, TT 15640, and PM 17474 SUNRISE COMPANY - Request for approval of a one year time extension. Rec: Approve as presented. Action: Moved by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Miller, to approve the consent calendar items as recommended by staff. Carried unanimously 4-0. VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS: A. Case No. GPA 01-82 - CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant Consideration of an amendment to the circulation element of the City General Plan to delete a portion of Magnesia Falls Drive, between Deep Canyon Road and Cook Street. Action: Moved by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Kryder, to waive further reading and adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 793, recommending approval of GPA 01-82. Case No. ZOA 01-82 - CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance revising the City's minimum area requirements for residential structures. Action: Moved by Commissioner Crites, seconded by Commissioner Miller, to waive further reading and adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 794, recommending approval of ZOA 01-82. Carried unanimously 4-0. C. Case No. ZOA 03-82 - CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance revising maximum noise levels in the C-1 zone. Action: Moved by Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Wood, to waive further reading and adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 795, recommending approval of ZOA 03-82. Carried unanimously 4-0. D. Case No. ZOA 10-81, CITY OF PALM DESERT, Applicant Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance establishing a Precise Plan requirement. Action: Moved by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Miller, to waive further reading and adopt Planning Commission Resolution No. 796, recommending ZOA 10-81. Carried unanimously 4-0. VIII. DESIGN REVIEVf/ BOARD ITEMS: Preliminary plan approvals by the Design Review Board at its meeting of April 13, 1982, requiring Planning Commission confirmation. Case No. 168 C - RENAISSANCE LAND CO. - Preliminary approval of plans for a 2,100 sq.ft. radio station facility at the southeast corner of Parkview Drive and Acacia Drive. Action: Moved by Commissioner Crites, seconded by Commissioner Miller, to approve Design Review Board's actions by adoption of Planning Commission Resolution No. 797. Carried unanimously 4-0. IX. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS A. Determination of compliance with General Plan for street vacations at Deep Canyon Road, south of Covered Wagon Trail and Toro Peak Road, south of Old Prospector Trail. Rec: Adopt minute motion determining compliance. Action: Minute motion was made by Commissioner Crites, seconded by Commissioner Miller, determining the proposed street vacations at -2- � � FINISHED AGENDA PALM DESER'T PLANNING COMMISSION APRIL 20, 1982 Deep Canyon Road, south of Covered Wagon Trail and Toro Peak Road, south of Old Prospector Trail, do comply with the General Plan. Carried unanimously 4-0. B. Proposed revisions to general provisions section of Zoning Ordinance. Action: Minute motion was made by Commissioner Crites, seconded by Commissioner Wood, to approve revisions to the general provisions section of the Zoning Ordinance as proposed, including added and amended sections. Carried unanimously 4-0. X. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - NONE XI. COMMENTS A report on Nonresidential Uses was issued to the Commissioners previously for their input; Mr. Diaz explained that staff would make recommendations and suggestions to Planning Commission and would be submitted to them for further input.
