I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor/Chairman Kelly convened the meeting at 11 a.m. with
direction to the City Clerk to make notes on only those items on which
Council reached consensus.

1. DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED 1986/87 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
By consensus, the following items were deleted from the
proposed budget:

Discussion of auto allowances was continued.

Council asked for wording clarification on the $200,000
for Art in Public Places Program so that it is known that
interest only on this money will be used for the program
and that the City Council has the ability to withdraw the
money at any time it needs It for other purposes.
Council directed staff to, in lieu of a new administrative
aide position, investigate better utilizing the Police
Department and Crime Prevention Officer Brent Conley for
the Police Advisory Committee and to contact Chief Bruce
Cowie to determine how we could more effectively involve
our Fire Department to assist in the City's Earthquake
Preparedness Program.
Staff was also directed to investigate the City's applying
its 1987/88 Block Grant monies to the Riverside County

Coalition Against Domestic Violence in the amount of
$11,600, which they had requested.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Wilson, second by Snyder, and unanimous vote of
the City Council present, Mayor Kelly adjourned the joint meeting to 3
p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 1986, at 5:22 p.m.
