CALL TO ORDER Chairman Benson convened the meeting at 3:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL Present: Member Buford A. Crites Member Jim Ferguson arrived at 4:00 p.m. Member Richard S. Kelly Vice Chairman Robert A. Spiegel Chairman Jean M. Benson Also Present: Homer Croy, Acting City Manager David J. Erwin, City Attorney Sheila R. Gilligan, ACM for Community Services Justin McCarthy, ACM for Redevelopment Rachelle D. Klassen, City Clerk Phil Drell, Director of Community Development Paul S. Gibson, Director of Finance/City Treasurer Teresa L. La Rocca, Director of Housing David Yrigoyen, Director of Redevelopment Robert P. Kohn, Director of Special Programs Michael Errante, Engineering Manager Mark Greenwood, Engineering Manager III. CONSENT CALENDAR A. MINUTES of the Housing Authority Meeting of December 12, 2002. Rec: Approve as presented. MINUTES PALM DESERT HOUSING AUTHORITY MEETING JANUARY 9, 2003 B. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL of RPM Company's Awarding of Bid for Repainting of Exterior Stucco at Las Serenas Apartments. Rec: By Minute Motion, authorize contracted property management firm RPM Company's award of the subject bid to Terry Hunt Painting & Decorating, Inc., Palm Desert, California, in the amount of $31,145 — funds have been appropriated in the FY 2002/03 Housing Authority Operating Budget for repainting expenses. Upon motion by Kelly, second by Spiegel, the Consent Calendar was approved as presented by a 5-0 vote. IV. CONSENT ITEMS HELD OVER None V. RESOLUTIONS None VI. NEW BUSINESS None VII. Chairman Benson commented that since the last meeting, she and Members Kelly and Spiegel participated in a housewarming ceremony for the Habitat for Humanity house. She remarked how appreciative the family is for their new home, enjoying their first Christmas there, and she felt especially joyful for them. XI. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - C None XII.
