CONSENT CALENDAR A. MINUTES of the Housing Authority Meeting of March 8, 2007. Rec: Approve as presented. B. HOUSING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES for February 7, 2007. Rec: Receive and file. C. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL of the Withdrawal and Substitution of Subcontractors for Contract No. HA25760 — Interior, Exterior, and Site Renovations for the Laguna Palms Apartments Project. Rec: By Minute Motion, approve withdrawal of subcontractors AAA Demolition, Inc., Silverwood Landscape Construction, and United Contractors, Inc.; and the substitution of subcontractors ATE Environmental, Inc., Gothic Landscape, Inc., and Fleming Electric Company, respectively, for the subject contract with Portrait Homes, Inc., Corona, California. Member Finerty moved to, by Minute Motion, approve the Housing Authority Consent Calendar as presented. Motion was seconded by Ferguson. Member Spiegel inquired about Item C, the withdrawal and substitution of subcontractors; he wondered why it was happening. Project Coordinator James Conway replied that the three replacements called for by the general contractor were due to the inability to bring workforce out to the area, scheduling conflicts, and a clerical error by the assigned general contractor. He noted the documentation provided in support of the request. Upon further question, Mr. Conway replied he hoped the contractors will put their best effort forward; unfortunately, the Agency was not involved in their subcontractor process but was concerned about it as well. Mr. Ortega added that the general contractor who provides all the necessary bonds was ultimately responsible. Chairman Kelly called for the vote, and the motion carried by a 5-0 vote. IV.
