APRIL 5, 2004
A. APPROVAL AND AWARD OF CONTRACT WITH EARTH SYSTEMS
SOUTHWEST (BERMUDA DUNES, CA) FOR SPECIAL INSPECTION AND
MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES REGARDING THE COACHELLAVALLEY

Mr. Conlon stated that the Uniform Building Code required the project owner

being recommended for the subject special inspection services. He said the
firm would primarily be looking at grading, compaction reports, concrete
strength sampling, masonry construction, and testing of the forming
components (rebar).
Responding to question, Mr. Conlon went on to comment that there was a
preconstruction meeting planned later this week with the general contractor,
mobilization to begin in the next two weeks. He said the plan was still for
completion the mid to late December with January move -in.
Vice President Wilson moved to, by Minute Motion: 1) Approve Contract
