OLD BUSINESS
A. Consideration of Consulting Contract with Grunwald, Crawford &
Associates to Render Technical and Professional Services in
Connection with a Redevelopment Study for a Portion of the
Commercial Area. (Continued from July 22, 1976.)
Mr. Hurlburt explained that at the Adjourned Agency Meeting of
July 27th, the Agency considered the hiring of the firm of
Grunwald, Crawford & Associates to conduct a Planning Study of
a 116-Acre Portion of the Redevelopment Area. At that time,
the Agency elected to defer this matter until the new Executive
Director for the Agency, Mr. Marty Bowman, had a chance to re-
view recommendations of the City staff and to give his input to
the selection process. Since that meeting, Mr. Bowman has re-
viewed all the consultants that were considered for the position
and concurs with the recommendation of the City staff to employ
Grunwald, Crawford & Associates for the project with some revi-
sions to the proposed contract.
Mr. Hurlburt further presented a list of the proposed revisions
to the contract, which included an increase in the proposed con-
tract price from $65,100 to $70,100 (in order to accomplish the
inclusion of additional work) and the addition of a new task
called Preliminary Transportation & Traffic Engineering Propo-
sals. Mr. Hurlburt also stated that Mr. Bowman had recommended
a date of September 1, 1976 as the date for the Contractor to
commence services.
Member Seidler moved that the commencement date of September 1, 1976,
De approved, further that the revisions to the contract be approved which in-
cluded an increase in the proposed contract price from $65,100 to $70,100.
