Chairman Wilson called the meeting to order at 8:55 p.m.

III. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. MINUTES of the Redevelopment Agency Meeting of May 13, 1982.
Rec: Approve as presented.
Upon motion by McPherson, second by Puluqi, the Consent Calendar was
approved as presented by unanimous vote of the Agency Members.

NEW BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF FLOOD CONTROL FACILITIES
CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
WITH THE COACHELLA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT.
Upon motion by McPherson, second by Newbrander, the item was continued to
the meeting of June 10, 1982, by unanimous vote of the Agency Members.
B. REQUEST OF BIRR, WILSON & COMPANY FOR AUTHORIZATION TO
BID ON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BONDS FOR THE FLOOD
CONTROL PROJECT.
Mr. Ortega reported that the Agency's bond counsel, Birr, Wilson &
Company, would be prohibited from bidding on the flood control bonds

without specific permission from the Agency. Staff was recommending
such action.
Member Newbrander moved to approve the request and authorize the firm of
Birr, Wilson & Company to bid said bonds. Member Puluqi seconded the motion; carried
unanimously by the Agency Members.

X. REPORTS AND REMARKS
A. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT FOR APPRAISAL
SERVICES
Mr. Bouman stated that the Agency's bond counsel felt additional
consulting work was necessary for the proposed project's tax
increment. They recommended the firm of Metzger &
Associates of San Jose, California, to verify the tax increment
for the Agency's proposed bond sale. The contract amount would
not exceed $6,000.
Member Snyder moved and Member Puluqi seconded to hire the firm of
Metzger & Associates, in an amount not to exceed $6,000, to verify the tax increment for
the Agency's proposed bond sale. Motion carried on a 4-1 vote with Member Newbrander
voting NO.

Upon motion by McPherson, second by Puluqi, and unanimous vote, Chairman
