A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DES�RT, CALIFOR�IA, �ETTING FORTH ITS FI�1DIrIGS AND
APPROVAL OF A TENTATIVE MAP TO ALLOW FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF A 100-UNIT PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT BY THE
r�IARRAKESH BUILDING & COUNTRY CLUB ON 27 ACRES OF
LAND, GENERALLY LOCAT ED [,TEST OF PORTOLA AVENUE, SOUTH
OF GRAPEVINE STREET, AND VO�TH OF HAYSTACK ROAD.
CASE N0. TRACT N0. 6229
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, Cali-
fornia, did receive a verified application from the MARRAKESH
BUILDING AND COUNTRY CLUB, requesting approval of a 100-unit
planned residential development on 27 acres of land, located in
the R-1-10,000 zone and situated west of Portola Avenue, south
of Grapevine Street and north of �iaystack Road, more particu-
larly described as:
a portion of the SW4 of the NE4
and the NW 4 of the SE 4 of Section
29, T.SS, R.6E., S.B.B.&''7.
4JHEREAS, said application has complied with the require-
men�s of the "City of Palm Desert Environmental �uality Proce-
dure Resolution No. 74-14" in that the project was initiated
prior to the effective date of the California Environmental
Quality Act and is therefore considered to be exempt as an on-
going project, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council did take into consideration the
tentative map as submitted and the report of the various review
agencies, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council did find that the sub.ject tenta-
tive map does comply with the City of Palm Desert Code (County
Ordinance No. 460), and the State of California Subdivision Map
Act, as amended;
��HEREAS, the City Council did find that the subject tenta-
tive map does comply with the adopted General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Palm Desert, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and con-
stitute the findings of the City Council in this case.

2. That it does hereby approve the above described tenta-
tive map No. 6229, subject to fulfillment of the following con-
ditions, (copy attacned);
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of November,
1974, by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California,
by the following vote:
